day 2
This week we are taking steps toward pursuing God’s better for our own lives.
Let’s Pause first and pray
Let’s Pause first and pray
PAUSE
As I enter prayer now, I pause to be still, to breath slowly, to recenter my scattered senses on the presence of God.
Pause and pray your own prayer
Read Romans 12:3-5
Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
Romans 12:3-5 (NLT)
We usually tend to either have too high of an opinion about ourselves or too low of an opinion. Take some time today to pray and ask God how He sees you today.
Pause and pray your own prayer
As you grow to appreciate how God made you with gifts and talents, it can help you appreciate the people around you as well. Spend some time thanking God for who surrounds you in your daily life. Pray for family, friends, people at your school and church. Reach out to one person and let them know you were praying for them today and how much you appreciate them.

Father, help me to live this day to the full, being true to you in every way. Jesus, help me to give myself away to others, being kind to everyone that I meet. Spirit, help me to love the lost, proclaiming Christ in all I do and say. Amen.
